Services

I design, evaluate, and support digital experiences with a focus on usability, accessibility, and clarity. My work helps organizations meet accessibility requirements while creating systems that are genuinely usable for the people who rely on them.

Services range from full website builds to targeted accessibility audits and document remediation. Projects can be scoped end-to-end or focused on a specific need, depending on where support is most valuable.

Website design and development

I design and build websites that are structured, intuitive, and accessible from the start. This includes thoughtful information architecture, clear navigation, and layouts that work across devices, browsers, and assistive technologies.

Accessibility is not treated as a finishing step or an overlay. It is integrated into design, content structure, and technical decisions from the beginning. The principles behind this approach are outlined in Accessibility 101 and UX 101.

This service is a good fit if you need:

  • A new website built with accessibility in mind
  • A redesign of an existing site that has become unclear or difficult to maintain
  • A WordPress or Squarespace site that balances flexibility, performance, and long-term manageability

Work typically includes content structure, page templates, navigation systems, accessibility considerations, and implementation.

Website pricing

Website projects are scoped based on the size and complexity of the site rather than billed strictly by the hour. This allows accessibility, structure, and usability to be addressed intentionally instead of retrofitted.

Most website projects fall into the following ranges:

  • Small websites
    Typically 4–6 pages
Often informational or professional service sites
    Projects generally start around $4,000
  • Medium websites
    Typically 7–12 pages
May include multiple content sections or forms
    Projects often range from $5,000–$8,000
  • Larger or more complex sites
    Scoped individually based on requirements

Pricing reflects the level of planning, content structure, accessibility considerations, and testing involved. Every project includes time for discovery, implementation, and accessibility validation.

A short scoping conversation is used to confirm requirements and provide a clear project estimate before work begins.

Accessibility audits and remediation

Accessibility audits evaluate how well a site or document works for people using assistive technology—not just whether it passes automated checks.

I audit websites against WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 using a combination of automated tools and manual testing. Findings are documented clearly and prioritized so they can be addressed without guesswork.

This service may include:

  • Accessibility audits of full websites or selected pages
  • Clear remediation recommendations or hands-on fixes
  • Accessibility documentation to support compliance or procurement needs

This work often supports larger initiatives such as redesigns, compliance reviews, or public-sector requirements. For an example, see my Website accessibility audit case study.

Audit pricing

Accessibility audits are priced per page, based on manual testing aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 requirements.

$150 per page
Minimum audit of 5 representative pages

A “page” refers to a distinct URL or screen with its own content or interaction pattern, such as a content page, form, or key functional screen.

Typical audit sizes:

  • Small websites
    Usually 5–8 pages
    Estimated range: $750–$1,200
  • Medium websites
    Usually 10–15 pages
    Estimated range: $1,500–$2,250
  • Larger or more complex sites may require a brief scoping review before pricing is confirmed.

These examples are provided to help with planning; final scope is confirmed prior to starting work.

Accessible PDFs and interactive forms

Accessible PDFs require a different approach than accessible websites. Many documents that appear visually simple—especially forms—can be difficult or impossible to use with assistive technology if they are not structured correctly.

I design and remediate accessible PDFs, including complex and interactive documents such as patient intake forms, onboarding packets, and internal workflows. This work draws on the same usability and accessibility principles described in Accessibility 101 and UX 101, applied specifically to document structure and interaction.

For new documents, accessibility is addressed at the source using Adobe InDesign, allowing structure, reading order, and form behavior to be built intentionally rather than retrofitted later. Existing documents are remediated and tested using Adobe Acrobat Pro, with attention to both technical compliance and real-world usability.

This service may include:

  • Remediation of existing PDFs to meet WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 requirements
  • Designing new accessible PDFs from scratch
  • Interactive forms with properly labeled fields, logical tab order, and clear instructions
  • Patient intake, consent, and onboarding documents
  • Manual quality assurance in addition to automated checks

This work is often part of broader systems, such as healthcare websites or public-facing services. For an example, see my Accessible and inclusive patient forms case study.

PDF pricing

Interactive PDF remediation is priced per page, based on typical remediation time for accessible form pages.

  • $100 per page

Pricing includes structural tagging, accessible form fields and labels, logical reading order, keyboard operability, and manual quality assurance. Documents with unusually complex layouts or custom scripting may require a brief review before confirmation.

UX reviews and usability evaluation

A site can meet accessibility requirements and still feel confusing, inefficient, or difficult to use. UX reviews focus on how people actually understand and move through content — where they hesitate, get lost, or abandon tasks.

My UX reviews combine accessibility-informed heuristics with real-world usability evaluation. Depending on project needs, this may include expert review, user testing, or both. The goal is not cosmetic change, but clearer structure, better flow, and more effective content.

This service may include:

  • Heuristic UX review informed by accessibility principles
  • Content structure and navigation evaluation
  • Identification of usability barriers affecting real users
  • Optional user testing to validate findings and guide content changes
  • Clear, prioritized recommendations tied to effort and impact

UX reviews are often used early in a redesign, during accessibility work, or as a way to improve an existing site without rebuilding everything.. This approach is outlined in UX 101.

UX pricing

UX reviews are scoped based on the size of the site and the depth of evaluation required. Reviews may involve expert analysis alone or include user testing, depending on goals.

Typical engagements include:

  • Expert UX reviews
Focused evaluation of structure, navigation, and content clarity
Often used for small sites or early-stage improvements
    Typically start around $1,000
  • UX reviews with user testing
Includes usability testing with representative users to inform findings and recommendations
Often used to guide content changes or redesign decisions
    Typically range from $1,500–$3,000

All UX reviews include clear documentation and prioritized next steps. A short scoping conversation is used to confirm goals and determine the appropriate level of evaluation.

Ongoing support and consulting

For organizations that need continued support, I offer ongoing accessibility aSome organizations need continued guidance rather than a one-time project. Ongoing support provides access to accessibility and UX expertise as needs arise, without committing to a full rebuild or audit.

This work may include periodic reviews, document remediation, content updates, implementation guidance, or support for internal teams during development or procurement.

Support can be structured as:

  • Monthly support or maintenance
  • Project-based consulting
  • Short-term advisory support

This work is collaborative and flexible, designed to support evolving needs rather than lock clients into rigid packages.

Consulting pricing

Ongoing support and consulting is billed based on time and scope, allowing organizations to get help when it is needed without long-term commitments.

Typical options include:

  • Hourly consulting
Best for short-term questions, reviews, or guidance
    Billed at $100 per hour
  • Monthly support
For organizations that need recurring assistance or periodic review
Typically structured in monthly blocks of hours
  • Monthly support
For organizations that need recurring assistance or periodic review
Typically structured in monthly blocks of hours
  • Project-based support
Defined scope support for accessibility, UX, or documentation needs
    Priced based on estimated effort

A brief scoping conversation is used to confirm goals and determine the most appropriate engagement model.

How I work

I work independently and directly with clients. Communication is clear, timelines are realistic, and decisions are made transparently.

Accessibility is treated as a core requirement, not an add-on. The goal is long-term usability and sustainability, not short-term fixes.
